Forget
Woodstock, this is Washstock! - Sunday 4th July
This year’s summer badminton social
event will be a little different. You may have heard of the
Glastonbury and the Isle of Wight but the best festival in town is the
“Washstock” at Wymeswold on Sunday 4th July.
Why:
Because the plan is for East Leake Badminton Club members to descend on
the event laden with chairs, frisbees, footballs, picnics and perhaps
even chilled white wine and Pimms . The festival is absolutely
FREE
(with voluntary donations) so don’t expect to see
Bon Jovi, but do expect to see some plucky amateurs and some up and
coming local talent.
When:
The event starts at 1:30. Lets plan to meet from 1:00pm
onwards.
Read all about it in the attached

Also pictures
from 2009 (see if you can recognise a couple of our junior badminton
players):

Where:
In the field off Burton Lane just below the cricket pitch and
the scout hut on the junction from Wymeswold to Burton. If you're still
not sure try putting Burton Lane into Googlemaps at http://maps.google.co.uk
Parking:
There should be plenty of road side parking.
PS: If
the weather is not so good the event will not go ahead.
