2007/08 Season
League
2007/08 was another thrilling and diverse season for East Leake teams. The Mixed 3rd team secured promotion, whilst the Mixed 1st team narrowly missed out on first division badminton. The Ladies 1st team justified last years promotion by holding their own in Divison 1. Similarly, the Ladies 2nd team maintained their position in their respective division as did the Mens 1st, Mens 3rd and Mixed 2nd teams. Regrettably, our Mens 2nd team were relegated for a second successive season, but have vowed to come back stronger next year. Knockout Cup
Once more 2 East Leake teams entered the Nottinghamshire Badminton Association Knockout Cup. Our 2nd team made a quick exit, being unlucky to draw eventual winners and overwhelming favourites - Byron - in the first round. However, our 1st team produced a series of sensational giant killing performances to reach an historic first ever final appearance by an East Leake team and finishing eventual Runners-up to the aforementioned Byron. Well done, a truly epic result!

Club Tournaments
The club pre-season tournaments were a great success, providing an excellent opportunity to gain match fitness and competitive practice but in a friendly and informal setting. Congratulations to this years winners:
